During laser treatment, a diode laser beam passes through the skin towards the hair follicles. The penetrating energy then heats up the root of the hair, which in turn, prevents future hair growth. As with all laser hair removal methods, DiolazeXL requires a series of treatments. Laser hair removal works best when hair follicles are in their mature stage; however, at any given time your hair is in various stages of growth. Hair is reduced with each treatment and results are observed after four to six sessions. The number of sessions will differ depending on your hair color, hair type, body area, and skin tone.

This procedure is not recommend for people who have: Skin conditions - active acne, open wounds, severe dermatitis or eczema, or keloid scarring Medications - blood thinners, diabetes medications, or Accutane (isotretinoin) within the last six months Sun exposure - not recommended for people who have recently had a sunburn or who have had unprotected sun exposure within the last four weeks Pregnancy History of seizures Photosensitizing medications Liver or kidney disease Severe histamine reactions
RECOVERY

You might notice redness and swelling for the first few hours after laser hair removal. To reduce any discomfort, apply ice to the treated area. Any discomfort typically disappears within a few hours.
